I find worth in the process of thinking about death in personal and imminent terms. You will die, and relatively soon. You. Soon. When we take a few minutes to really let it sink in, to let it imbed in our thoughts, maybe even scare the hell out of us, we open ourselves to an honest exploration of the most important question a human being can ask:
Are we living well?
I am not religious, and it would be quite a stretch to say that I have faith in any form of afterlife, but I do very much like the idea of reflecting on a life once it has ended; then, having done so, getting the chance to live it over again. While I certainly do not believe in the reality of such a concept, I like it just the same, and I find it to be a valuable thought exercise.
So there we are, recently dead, watching a playback of our lives. We re-experience it all, minute by minute, from a purely disengaged vantage point. When the reel runs out, we are born again into a do-over, equipped with the years of wisdom gained from our first faltering attempt.
I refuse to believe there is a single person out there who wouldn’t choose to live differently the second time around. And yet, what I find most peculiar, is that we don’t have to die to experience a re-birth. The changes that we most need to make can be made in this lifetime, and at any juncture of our choosing. That we so often fail to recognize this shot at self-correction is one of the great mysteries of our uniquely intelligent, yet remarkably ignorant, species.
We are all free to believe what we will about the nature of death, and what exactly happens afterwards. However, that said, it is not necessary for our concept of redemption to hinge on faith or religion. Redemption is right in front of us, everywhere and all the time.
The people we want to be, the people we would be if we could do it all over again, are waiting patiently to be called upon.
To a certain degree, we are all wasting our lives. I know what I could be doing differently, and you probably do too. The simple and profound truth is that our opportunity to change is ephemeral and ever-diminishing. Nobody can say beyond conjecture whether we will have a second or third chance at this, but we can all come to realize the following:
We do have at least one chance at getting it right, and that chance is today, standing immediately before us.

Let me drift~away afar~Let me go~ let me ride the waves~the sun has gone with the day~the evening hues are holding sway~Let me now lose my way~to find myself a little more ~till I land upon your shore
when you chased me down
I was afraid
but when I stopped to listen
I was amazed
Friends in another world,
another time were we -
let's revel in our new clothes,
new avatars, shall we?
when you chased me down
I was afraid
but when I stopped to listen
I was amazed
Friends in another world,
another time were we -
let's revel in our new clothes,
new avatars, shall we?

Why
Why resist,
When I am clay in your hands to mould?
You forge my shape
Why hope,
When tears elicit no pity or mercy?
You are cold to me.
Why try,
When all the ways out are closed off?
You hold all the keys.
Why play,
When it always plays out the same way?
You win and I lose.
Bound eternally, to whom i hv nothing left
Forever tied, to him who has been
the most important person in my life.
Why You crush my spirit?
Why u hv conspired to destroy
What remains of my soul.
Why?
Because I am stupid to Love.
When I am clay in your hands to mould?
You forge my shape
Why hope,
When tears elicit no pity or mercy?
You are cold to me.

to ask
Though love inside is true n right, me wrong my mind wrong my actions wrong !
My Lovel, you should be ronged.
Only with my Heart so loving n joys so full, but with you along,
Nothing can go wrong.
Even if smthng goes haywire, you will set straight...
You are my super commando, mighty and strong !
Good times are short and life is long, we can always happily play together...
A wonderful life, a lovely song...
Humans made sense of right and wrong , but we are god's children who takes care of all of us.
Sense of his ever-loving presence we long.
With innocent yet brave minds and hearts , we can always take efforts to be happy
Together, determined and headstrong .
We are the warriors lifelong, would reach to the joyful place
To tranquil pacific peaceful state we belong.
May we find our own deities n demons, may each of our hearts realize its potential, its paradise
Before we sing our swan-song .
May I die with delight, yet, if it's dark night,;
May my heart ignite n burn bright.
And I shall witness my own light, with jolly light cloudy heart that goes
Where everything is always perfectly right.

To love is to share life together
to build special plans just for two
to work side by side
and then smile with pride
as one by one, dreams all come true.
To love is to help and encourage
with smiles and sincere words of praise
to take time to share
to listen and care
in tender, affectionate ways.
To love is to have someone special
one who you can always depend
to be there through the years
sharing laughter and tears
as a partner, a lover, a friend.
To love is to make special memories
of moments you love to recall
of all the good things
that sharing life brings
love is the greatest of all.
I wish to learn full meaning
of sharing and caring
and having my dreams all come true;
I wish to learn full meaning of being in love
by loving and being with you.
Save my wish my commando
And don't let it die.

Mann
My caress is a cure
My hug is a home
My eyes can embrace
My smile is a shore.
Beguile me, treasure me
I'm precious as a morn.
Else, I turn from you
And make you bleed
Without a wound
I'm simply your girl
Nothing less, nothing more.

My eyes can embrace
My smile is a shore.

As one do realize
How perfect, how super a commando you are, how wise
Seen through my eyes.
Surround me , or Let me surround you.

Never let you alone
In life, in heart.
Whatever i have or will ever have

Till wonderful death do
Me apart...

Fundamentals
I am not a die hard fan of Gandhiji and don’t agree with all his principles. But I loved "Lage Raho Munnabhai" and agree with the philosophies filmed there. This particular article taken from Henrik Edberg’s book on Personal Development published on May, 2008 is lovely and had answered most of the doubts that I was having from the past few incidents so thought of posting it here.
1. Change yourself.
'You must be the change you want to see in the world.'If you change yourself you will change your world.
2. You are in control.
'Nobody can hurt me without my permission.'What you feel and how you react to something is always up to you.
3. Forgive and let it go.
'The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.''An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.'
4. Without action you aren't going anywhere.
'An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching.'Taking action is hard and difficult. You have to take action and translate the knowledge into results and understanding.
5. Take care of this moment.
'I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following.'When you are in the present moment you don't worry about the next moment that you can't control anyway.
6. Everyone is human.
'I claim to be a simple individual liable to err like any other fellow mortal. I own, however, that I have humility enough to confess my errors and to retrace my steps.''It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.'
It's important to keep in mind that everyone is just a human being no matter who they are and that we are all human and prone to make mistakes. Be able to see with clarity where you went wrong and what you can learn from your mistake.
7. Persist.
'First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.'Be persistent. In time the opposition around you will fade and fall away.
Find what you really like to do. Then you'll find the inner motivation to keep going, going and going.
8. See the good in people and help them.
'I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won't presume to probe into the faults of others.''Leadership means getting along with people.'There is pretty much always something good in people. And things that may not be so good. But you can choose what things to focus on. And when you see the good in people it becomes easier to motivate yourself to be of service to them.
9 Be congruent, be authentic, be your true self.
'Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.''Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.'One of the best tips for improving your social skills is to behave in a congruent manner and communicate in an authentic way. People seem to really like authentic communication. And there is much inner enjoyment to be found when your thoughts, words and actions are aligned You feel powerful and good about yourself.
10. Continue to grow and evolve.
'Constant development is the law of life, and a man who always tries to maintain his dogmas in order to appear consistent drives himself into a false position.'You can pretty much always improve your skills, habits or re-evaluate your evaluations. You can gain deeper understanding of yourself and the world.

bored of drudgery
Let my pean be sung on the mean string of
a lead guitar,
and the wail hide the sigh of ennui
of a life un-lived in contemplation
and a dance
lost to the beats of drudgery !!

Fragrance
He wrote :
Her name was
Fragrance.
Not pungent
as like
the perfumes of
Arabia,
but, mild..
a Water Lilly.
My mobile vibrated
with her melodious voice:
the symptoms of
“Borderline Personality Disorder”
of her husband,
her forlorn cries
when he thrashed
her face, her body…
my mobile resonated
with her knife-like shrieks…
(I couldn’t do anything,
she was far away, very far away)
I too cried, desolately
along with her…
She talked about her
menstrual periods,
(“There is Blood in the Moon”)
the unbearable pain,
that astute and incisive agony
only a Woman would know…
I so wished to comfort her
to stroke her stomach
gently, smoothly, endlessly…
(But there were many
Countries between Us)…
But, I comforted her
with soothing words,
I sent her warm breezes
of the Summer Forest…
I whispered her,
1001 scintillating stories,
about Sathi,
Ardhanareeswara…
The dance of Nataraja,
Lasya, Tandava
(he destroys in order to create,
tearing down to build again)…
and, 'Anandatandava,'
the Dance of Bliss…
(I begged her:
Don’t commit another
“Suicidal Attempt”,
It is enough,
It has been three times now)
I made her read
“Devi Stothram”
every morning,
I convinced her:
In every Woman,
there resides “Devi”…
The Story of her Life
traversed interminably
across infinite Mobile Towers,
taking a zigzag path on the Skies…
(Infinite kites of varying colours,
Zigzag-ing on the Skies)
She once said:
If we lay on bed,
fully naked,
embracing each other,
so stringent,
lest one may lose
the other,
then, there won’t be space
even for a thread,
to pass between our bodies…
She said:
“That is Our Bond”
(That was the happiest moment
In the whole of my Desolate Life)
I did “Sayana Prathikshanam”,
to make her Life more better,
and vomited ceaseless, inside the Temple.
The Story of My Desolate Life too
Zigzag-ed along the Skies
making her cry, helpless…
She told me later:
A fleet of geese
flied just over her head,
cackling strangely,
that “Omniscient” day.
I didn’t know her Address,
She was about to give it to me…
Whenever I dream about her,
I would suddenly awake,
and check my Mobile,
for her 12 Digit Number…
Then, one day,
She stopped calling,
altogether.
I panicked,
and called Her.
A “message” came,
from the other end of the line:
“This Number doesn’t Exist anymore”.
After many varying Seasons,
I still call her,
And I hear the same “message”
(a sharp knife stabs my Soul)
“This Number doesn’t Exist anymore”.
Now, I see the flaring
Gulmohar
outside the window,
of the Hospital Ward…
It knows Everything,
All the Secrets…
Every moment,
I try to extract,
its hidden secrets…
Every moment,
I try to extract,
its hidden secrets

Desire for fire
I desire for fire. It is Happiness, that I aspire.
With most beautiful thing, most loving heart of yours, my mate
I would have a date.
Smiles n smiles I love. Any tear out of sadness, I shut, I hate.
Does the distance of many a mile,
Makes our hearts conceal the ache, the pine…?
The fond memorous amorous expressions,
The warm tender impressions…
I try to turn over the evening,
With you in my heart, to redo my day
But night has grown now deep,
At times silly mind feels, love is far away.
Fragile doting spirit can rule this world with passion!
It is with compassions…
The caring soul can brighten the world !
Coz with lovelessness, world ashens.
Even the sun lays imprisoned during shady monsoons,
If you do not break a few cloud.
Likewise, my brave one, with the glow of truth n love
Break the concealment, break the shroud.
With most beautiful thing, most loving heart of yours, my mate
I would have a date.

Being in places
There is something
about a woman
standing in the sun
on the doorstep:
as if she was
collecting warmth
to take back
into her home.
There is something
about a journey
on curving roads in hills:
as if one
left behind a lot
to reach heights,
but a road always
takes you back home.
There is something
about being a hillbilly,
never in the shade,
forever in the sun:
he knows there are
no secret springs
and what's important
is for all to share.
There is something
about abandoned cemetries
on country hillsides:
names are
wisps in the air
and life needs to be lived
in abandon,
for later - who cares
about a woman
standing in the sun
on the doorstep:
as if she was
collecting warmth
to take back
into her home.

Take me to a world
Take me to a world
Where leaves do not die
Flowers do not cry
Trees do not dry
Take me to a world
Where valleys do not burn
Snow-peaks are not warm
Hill-sides are not shorn
Take me to a world
Where a river is a romance
A meadow glows with songs
A sea is alive with sounds
Take me to a world
Where dolphins run riot
Snails crawl in full sight
Birds fly on wings of light
Take me to a world
Where I reign as a servant
On my earth, my firmanent
Fleeting, but... permanent?
Where leaves do not die
Flowers do not cry
Trees do not dry
Take me to a world
Where valleys do not burn
Snow-peaks are not warm
Hill-sides are not shorn

River n Sea
Is a river lonelier than the sea?
Rivers run deep,
say very little,
the sea chatters, but is forever reaching out.
One travels, the other questions.
A river picks its seasons but needs to loop to the sea.
The sea absorbs the sun, but has darkness in its soul.
The river crinkles, cracks, cackles and cries,
The sea jumbles little question marks, forever.
The river gives its shores, for miles.
The sea stretches infinite into the horizons.
Seeking, searching, chortling, living,
Both show a way, but never stop.
Ah, I know.
A river is a child,
Alone, but not lonely.
And the sea is a hermit,
Lonely but never alone.
And both live on,
Full, but forever thirsty.
Full, but forever thirsty...
Rivers run deep,
say very little,
the sea chatters, but is forever reaching out.
One travels, the other questions.

journey
We make goals, we make targets, we raise expectations
This happens with most of us ...
It is the journey we enjoy and not the destination.
Life is a journey and death is our destination.
Enjoying it to the fullest because I know I will reach my destination some day :)
